Security Leadership Development Program (SLDP)
To ensure safe and secure operations in the global marketplace both today and tomorrow, the SLDP is aimed at shaping the future leaders of the security organization. Participants in this highly intensive, two year program will gain experience in at least two different business areas, attend annual Leadership Development Conferences, benefit from the Technical Development Curriculum and many more opportunities that will give them the tools needed to contribute to success of the organization and the enterprise.
Rotational assignments, advanced education and more.
SLDP's will be required to rotate through at least two different business areas within the enterprise. These experiences lend to a broad business perspective as well as a more thorough understanding of how Security helps the enterprise to meet its goals.
In order to further develop participants, the SLDP requires that participants complete a Security-related Masters Degree within five years of program completion.
Technical Development Curriculum (TDC) classes
TDC classes are designed to provide exposure to both managerial and technical skills that traditionally are not part of an academic education. Additionally, SLDP participants will attend the annual Security Leadership Conference held at the Center for Leadership Excellence in Bethesda, MD, where they will network with Security professionals from throughout the corporation.
Attendance at Leadership Development Conferences (LDC's)
The 2 Leadership Development Conferences (LDCs) offered to the SLDPs are designed to help them develop networks with peers from other functional areas and other Lockheed Martin businesses, as well as with our IS leadership. Participants will engage in modules designed to enhance leadership knowledge and skills and attend a workshop with the goal of further development of daily interactive skills. At the end, a Capstone Project ties everything together.
Who can participate in the SLDP?
Those selected for the program hold degrees in a security-related field. To qualify, participants should also possess demonstrated leadership ability, communication skills and related work experience.
Lockheed Martin is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
